Season 22/23 information

Planning for season 22/23 is underway and we are looking forward to the first ball being bowled in September.

Committee

A new committee for season 22/23 was elected at the AGM on 6th June 2022. We have a a few positions vacant that we would like to fill:

  • Junior Coordinator - a very important position coordinating our Junior Mixed competition teams
  • Junior Girls Co-ordinator - another important position helping to organise our Girls cricket teams
  • Canteen Manager - yet another important position to help keep the canteen and bar open and stocked, helping to raised much needed funds for the club. The club has a vision of the canteen and bar being a central meeting point for locals on Friday evenings in summer.

If you are interested in one (or more) of these positions, or know someone who would be, please contact the President.

Awards

We finished up season 21/22 at our Senior Presentation Night in May 2022, and an important part of the night was awarding our club trophies:

Congratulation to the much-deserved award winners.

Sixty60 Smash

Following on from our successful 3 match, T10 (60 ball inning) series of matches for Juniors and Seniors to celebrate our 60th anniversary, the club is looking at repeating this format for season 22/23. Watch this space.

PlayHQ

Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia have bought forward the rollout of PlayHQ to this season. The new system will replace MyCricket for registrations and competition management. James and Muruga have been attending PlayHQ online sessions to understand the implementation process and we are looking forward to using the new system.

A few important items we have been able to glean about the new system:

  • Statistics for previous seasons will not be transferred to PlayHQ. You will be able to find all historical stats in MyCricket and Cricket Australia will keep and manage all existing MyCricket and match data
  • The MyCricket live score app will be replaced by PlayHQ live scoring
  • Offline scoring will also be available via PlayHQ
  • If you have a duplicate MyCricket ID, we'd like to hear from you as we'll need to merge them.

Play cricket with KPCC

We have cricket programs and teams in Junior cricket & Senior cricket for all ages & abilities.

Blasters cricket for the kids

Following on from very successful Junior, Girls and Master Blaster seasons, Kissing Point Cricket Club will again run Junior Blasters for 4-7 year olds and Master Blasters for the 7-9 year olds.

The club will also run a Girls Only Master Blaster Program.

All 3 Blaster programs are run at Auluba Oval and coached by a number of our senior and junior members.

Girls cricket

The club, for the first time ever, was able to field both a Stage 1 and Stage 2 in season 21/22. The last time the club fielded a Stage 2 team was in 2005. We are keen to expand our Girls Cricket programs in 22/23 and beyond.

Many of our previous Girls Only Master Blaster participants played in Stage 1 and Stage 2 Saturday cricket in the North Shore Junior Cricket Association (NSJCA).

Our Stage 1 and 2 teams train at the same time as Girls Master Blasters, giving participants the opportunity to see how skills are used as they get older.

Junior Mixed cricket

Our Junior, Master and Girls Blaster programs will be back for season 2022/23. Keep an eye on this page and our Facebook page for registration information.

Senior Mixed cricket

Our Senior's teams will take the field on Saturday afternoon, with the hope that 2 day cricket will return for season 22/23. Many of our junior players from U15 teams will be graduating this season into senior cricket.
