Cricket Blast at KPCC

After a successful Cricket Blast 24/25 season, where 100 participants had a blast, the club is happy to open registrations for the 25/26 season. Last season over 20% of participants were girls, and the club is eager to increase girls participation this coming season.

The program will run from October 2025 to Feb 2026 at Auluba Oval on Friday afternoons and evenings, with a break over Christmas.

  • Everyone welcome - Kids aged up to 10 years old
  • Over in a flash – 60-90 minutes of fun each session in a safe and inclusive environment
  • Make pals, catch skills, throw like a boss, and teamwork like a pro!
  • Kids will be able to rock the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes with their own Cricket Blast pack
  • All the gear, no fear!

Parents are welcome to stay and unwind on a balmy Friday evening with friends at the Auluba licensed bar.

Season dates

The season runs from Friday 17th October 2025 to February 2026.

There are 8 sessions in 2025, followed by the Christmas Break, then 4 sessions in 2026.

Cricket Blast Skills starts at 5:00pm and runs until 6:00pm

Cricket Blast Competition starts at 6:30pm and runs till 8:00pm

Cricket Blast Skills

Cricket Blast Skills (formerly Junior Blasters) is a program for beginner cricketers. It will teach and build fundamental basic skills of cricket through fun, game-based activities.

When?

The 12 week program runs on Fridays at 5-6pm, before our Cricket Blaster Competition program.

Where?

Auluba Oval, South Turramurra.

The Auluba Oval bar and canteen is open to all parents during this time - a great way to catch up with friends at the end of the week.

Coaching

Coaching is provided by our leading junior and young senior competition players including some players now playing in the Sydney Premier Cricket competition.

Cricket Blast Competition

Cricket Blast Competition is designed for players who have the ability to bowl with a straight arm and hit a moving ball. It involves modified, small-sided matches.

When?

The 12 week program runs on Fridays from 6:30pm to 8pm, after our Cricket Blaster Skills program.

Where?

Auluba Oval, South Turramurra.

The Auluba Oval bar and canteen is open to all parents during this time - a great way to catch up with friends at the end of the week.

Coaching

Coaching is provided by our leading junior and young senior competition players including some players now playing in the Sydney Premier Cricket competition.

Other Junior Cricket at Kissing Point

Kissing Point Cricket Club provides junior cricket in the HK&HDCA and NSJCA associations.

For kids wanting to play Saturday morning cricket, we have U9 and U10 non-competition teams ready to register into.

Girls wanting to play organised games of cricket can play in HK&HDCA or NSJCA matches held around the North Shore.

Shirts

Cricket Blast participants can wear Cricket Blast branded shirts from Cricket NSW (CNSW). These are included in the registration fee as part of a Woolworths Cricket Blast Pack and can be selected during registration.

Recap of past seasons

Previous seasons have seen upwards of 80-90 girls and boys join the Blasters program.

All were split into 4 groups and rotate through different stations for a different game every 15 minutes.  The kids were coached by some of our leading juniors and young seniors with great enthusiasm!
