About Master Blasters - Fridays

Much like the BBL and WBBL, Master Blasters is an action packed program for all kids aged 7-9 who are ready to play modified games of cricket in a fun and social setting.  Player registrations cost $160.

Remember to apply for an Active Kids Voucher prior to registering your child.

Differences between the Friday and Saturday programs

Kissing Point Cricket Club runs two Masters Blaster programs, run on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Read below to find out what they have in common and their differences.

Both programs

  • Open to Boys and Girls
  • Non-competition (no points, no ladders)
  • Game Time: 90mins
  • Overs per team: 16 overs
  • Pitch Length: 14m
  • Boundary: 30m maximum
  • Ball type: Soft
  • Batting: Bat in pairs facing equal balls
  • Bowling: 6 ball overs max. Wides & No Balls not re-bowled. (Free Hit)
  • All players bowl 2 overs each. Bowl all overs from one end.
  • Fielding: Rotate fielders, no fielder within 10m
  • Dismissals: Bowled, caught, run-out, hit-wicket.
  • Scoring of Dismissals: 5 runs per wicket to fielding team.

Friday evening program

Age guide: 7 to 9

  • Registration Fee: $160
  • 11 week program
  • Program includes professional coaching between games.
  • Parent’s help run the team.
  • Start: Fri 15 Oct 2021 / Finish: Fri 25 Feb 2022
  • Teams created with Kissing Point CC registered players.
  • You name your team. For example: The KP Sixers, The KP Blasters.
  • Played only at Auluba Oval
  • Matches played every Friday evening 6pm-7.30pm
  • Matches played on the grass outfield

Saturday morning program

Age guide: U8 and U9

  • Registration Fee: $160
  • Approx. 17 Rounds, 17 week season. (based on 2020/21 season)
  • No professional coaching provided.Parents coach, organise and run the team.
  • Season start date to be advised. Approx. Oct
  • Club teams created with Kissing Point CC registered players.
  • Kissing Point U8 Red, Kissing Point U8 Blue
  • Kissing Point U9 Red, Kissing Point U9 Blue
  • Matches played against other clubs (Hornsby, St Ives, WPHCC etc)
  • Played at various fields within the HK&HDCA area, for example: Karuah Park, James Park, Glenorie Park, Comenarra Sportsground, Cowan Oval, Holland Reserve, Samuel King Oval and others.
  • Matches played every Saturday morning
  • Various start times throughout the season: 8am or 10.30am
  • Matches played on the astro-turf centre wicket

Recap of Season 2020/21

The program last year saw 46 players registered and divided across 3 fields.

Each field was coached by one of our young A Grade players in Billy Jameson, Matt Brown and/or Naveen Sivanathan.

The modified games provided an opportunity for all players to improve on their playing skills and develop great friendships.
